The End
None can deny the majesty of a bright spring day,
Flowers in bloom, green leaves on branches, clear skies-
All went unnoticed to I, flying through the sky,
Expecting to die.
Though friends gathered nearby, I could not feel more alone.
Nothing was noticed by I, but the ground fast approaching;
Nothing but my peers shrieking;
Nothing but gasps of horror
As I tumbled toward the ground.
As the wind filled my hair I grew giddy with joy,
As if I were a falcon, plummeting toward the earth.
That fifty-foot swing had taken me on a journey.
It brought me the thrill of anticipation.
It brought me fear.
It brought me joy.
As the swing drew to a halt I wished my journey would not end.
Gravity refused to oblige.
As I fully knew, all things must end and I must let others feel the adrenaline.
The excitement.
The joy.
The swing.
