I watch seasons change

from my east window.
It hides from the tree tops,

a white curtain covering the land

it once loved.
The moon falls from the sky,
leaves hide from the wind.
with a gentle light,

it comes back to greet me.
the sun was afraid to shine

through an eternal winter.
