Freedom
I see you every day outside my windowpane, perched on that tree branch staring in the sky. I watch you for hours on end until you finally decide to fly off into the golden twilight. I envy you with wings so vast, free to go and come when you please. You’re not trapped in a cage like me. I see you little bird free to sing your heart song with ease. Can I go with you little bird? Can I fly on your wings into the sun? I want to be free like you little bird. Maybe one day my cage door will open.
The wind gracefully
Comes to greet the happiness
With soil beneath me
