Slowly
Slowly, the steps she takes to a new hope
To a “sovereignty”
Bright smiles lined with a devilish clandestine
They vowed to protect you
My poor girl
They vowed to love you
Slowly, the smiles fade
Trapped in your own silence
Forced to live through an unspeakable hell
They turn their backs
My best friend
They took your trust
Slowly, he creeps in and takes what he wants
You lock away your now blackened pulse
You shelter yourself more than ever
They took your innocence
My optimistic, suicidal girl
They burned out your sun
Slowly, you cry out
Screaming and reaching your hand
Craving for comfort
They battered your essence
My seemingly blissful girl
They pushed you away
Slowly, your mouth opens
Your story slides through your lips
We surround you with warmth, relief flows sooths your blood
They are silent
My sweet angel
They are emotionless
Slowly, the light returns to you
Push those demons that call themselves “family” away
Find your own peace
They don’t matter
My hopeful girl
They don’t matter any more
