Strangers
There's something thrilling
About our silent conversations
Fluid gesture, fleeting glance, ghost of a smile
Reveal us, unravel us
Spill out our midnight secrets
That we whispered to our pillows
Not expecting Him to be listening
And yet to others
We are strangers
Whose masks hardly ever shatter
There's something terrifying
About our silent conversations
The twich of fingers, shifting eyes, lips that would form foul words
Break me, blind you
Words are not vast enough to explain to you
What you could not hear
The crash echoes in the empty hall
And yet to others
We are strangers-
So quiet
