Birdhouse
I live in a house with one window and one door
With a bed of straw and nothing more
My siblings and I share this bed
It becomes awfully crowded, especially when we're fed
My mother, she comes in and out
She brings us food, and when she doesn't, we pout.
It is sometimes sad to see her go
So we ask her can we come?
No she says, it's much too cold.
Bring us back some worms then mum
stay in here, it's safe and warm
the house will protect you from beast and storm
Bye bye birdies, don't you cry
someday you'll be able to fly
