sunken ships and broken bridges
I tried to fix the arid canyons on your wrists with water so you wouldn't feel so alone
but the closest thing I could find were the tears I once called home
I wanted to tell you that there are much better things out there than we see at 16
but that was something even I couldn't force myself to believe
I tried to fix you, first with tape, then with a needle and thread
but you wouldn't let me, saying that broken glass is impossible to mend
I wanted to explain to you how much you truly mean to me
but you lost all hope before you got the chance to know
