Tell Me To Swim
As I pass by the turquoise water,
My heart stops.
It starts to beat again,
As if to tell me to get in.
I try to fight the urge,
But I can’t.
I dip into the creation of Mother Nature,
And stand in the aqua.
The wind coos me,
As if to tell me to glide.
The water nudges me
And my legs start to kick
They have a brain of its own.
My arm starts to rise, and the wind brushes it,
As if to congratulate me.
Doing this impulsive sense,
My body challenges me.
My legs go faster,
My arms swing higher.
I just keep going and going.
It’s breathing to me,
It’s the love I will never lose.
