Luminescent Moments
Our fingers dancing with each other
Your cool hand teasing my warmth
Soft lips meeting for the millionth time
Gentle, yet strong embraces
Bodies nestled into each other
Causing coo’s to escape your lips
With sleepy little smiles
And in that singular and fleeting moment
I decided that you were worth it
And so did you
I finally believed it
As did you
And we found the strength to carry on.
The constant
That has been absent
In my weary bones
Energized them once more.
Cream vanilla coffee
With dancing sugar cubes could not taste
As sweet.
The night departed, day had come
Leaving us to face off another daylight
Daylight of destruction and struggle
To leave us crawling to each other
Come break
