The Girl Who Sits in Front of Me
There's a girl a seat in front of me who's the most popular in school
She struts around in high heels, making herself look cool
Her laugh is like an angel and she smiles all the time
No-one could have known she was pretending she was fine
There's a girl a seat in front of me who's the most popular out of her friends
She walks around the school keeping up with the current trend
Her laugh is like an angel and she smiles quite a lot
But she remembers her past because everyone else forgot
There's a girl a seat in front of me who's the most popular this room
She strolls around the corridors with her expensive perfume
Her laugh is like an angel and she smiles a few times a week
But her invisible tears roll silently down her innocent cheek
There's in a girl a seat in front of me who's not so popular anymore
She crawls across the classrooms fighting her inner war
Her laugh is like an angel and she hardly ever smiles
Because no-one has noticed what she's done with her knives
There's a girl a seat in front of me who just sits there wasting space
She slouches her back in lesson with an empty look on her face
Her laugh is like an angel but her smile has faded away
She wears long sleeves in summer as she bleeds every day
There's an empty seat in front of me as the girl has left the world
She left a note to her mother saying her voice was left unheard
She left a note to our class saying we shouldn't take the blame
But she said the silent girl who sits behind her understood her pain.
