I have walked many times through a moonless night
If only to someday find stars
When I sleep, I dream of the absent sun
And wonder how anything could ever shine so bright
I have crawled many times through tunnels of black sky
If only to see the morning
I paint galaxies on the bottoms of my feet
To leave wonder everywhere I step
And I draw the sun on the palms of my hands
So everything I touch may live again
I hope that I may live again
I have walked many times through a moonless night
If only to someday find stars
