Reminiscence
Bask in the light
Of memory;
Watch
As we weep of joyous tears,
As we pose for your wedding,
As we erect castles into the air.
Various tales are visible
In each frame of time-
Watch us grow,
Watch us love,
Watch as we soar above
All else.
Childhood stories
Are turned to ashes
In the listener’s mind;
Our height’s inches
Turn to feet,
Oh,
How have we grown so weak,
When there we are,
Secure
In photograph’s embrace?
Flicker over
My collage of remembrance
Over there;
These hang from
The dresser’s frame,
Mirror reflecting life-
Our life.
Absorb the innocence
Of youth
Within blazing eyes,
Before yours
Sizzles
Too.
