Trust (or Bust)
As a bird builds its nest
so I have done my best
To be a friend unending
all others' word suspending
I have toiled for many a year
to ensure that I am the one you hold dear
One who you can always trust
the words between us would never rust
But something, something has changed
someone, someone I should have gauged
Has taken over
he drew the lucky clover
Our trust is bust
Our bonds to dust
The dawn is turning
into dusk
And all I can hope to do
is look with a feeling of deja-vu
As he steps in,
my time, is through
