Dinner
And you my love, were dinner.
Your soft, blazed caramel eyes
bore into mine
like pancakes at breakfast
the wind ran through our hair
your spirit through my veins
as the gentle grass cries of summer time
and an unlikely love affair,
a quiet house, a single swing
endless hues in the sky deepen
begging to keep it around
lunch was a midsummers day
I prayed your elegant hand would fall into mine
and hold it for eternity
Our phantasmagoric night
to my unfortune, love,
not a single constellation shown
Not a twinkling of fairy dust came
out to play in the garden that raised us
twas as simplistic as a blackhole
was the way we went out
soundless and speachless was I
as I watched you walk away
and left dinner, unfinished.
