Windows
I look out my window
Trying to see my dreams
Or the stars
Dancing around the night sky
But I don't
Instead I see my own eyes staring back at me
Smiling eyes
Filled with life, happiness,
Even...Love?
In my mind I see his eyes.
Hauntingly greenish-blue
Are they filled with the same emotions?
They used to be. Now it's hard to tell.
I would give anything to see those eyes again.
It's been so long, and I miss them.
And him.
But instead I'm stuck behind this window,
Smudged with empty dreams
And broken promises.
