Anger and Sadness
I know I haven't written an emotional poem in a while.
It's because I have the exact same emotions
When I get mood swings. Anger and Sadness.
My two compatriots through thick and thin,
Whether I want them or not.
I can't explain why I have this Anger and Sadness.
It's just there, like someone else formed me
Around what they wanted.
My feelings are nowhere close to snowflakes,
Each one being individual and delicate.
Completely seperate from the rest,
And yet by that logic, exactly the same.
The emotions I speak of are simply the ones
I get when I get mood swings, however.
All other emotions I receive any other time of day
Are different, or at least they are the same
Emotions with varying amounts for each person I encounter.
There isn't a whole lot I have to say,
Or that I can at least put into words.
But right now I'm happy that I'm Angry and Sad.
Happy because I can formulate new poetry
So that people may be satisfied,
And I can be satisfied.
But life is all about satisfaction,
Isn't it? It's all about pleasing everyone else,
Making sure they're happy long before you can
Ever be happy. But that's a topic for another poem.
