the goodbye hearts.
White finger tips,
Butterflies,
Vivid dreams,
And pale blue eyes.
We're in a frozen winter,
And you're my guide.
Sailing down the river
Just with you,
Out of wings to fly us through.
We're going down hard,
A little too hard.
I was thrown over board
And my flesh turned to scars,
All my tears and all my lies
That were hidden in my heart
Were burned on to my skin,
And the thoughts of fear begin again.
You were carried to safety,
You found the stars,
But I'm down at the bottom
With the goodbye hearts
Of all the boys and girls who
Sank too quick before me.
