Roses
Once there lived some roses,
who had all the love and care
morning promised sunshine
and vibrant laden air.
Darkness brought forth rain,
and made the life worth living
the birds would chirp and sing
the bells would toll and ring
roses in a world
worth living.
The light would shine just right,
so that the roses grew alright,
the trees would make an open space
so the roses bloomed with peaceful haste.
Among the roses were some stones;
black, old and etched.
Upon them a few words sketched;
"Loving mother, faithful daughter
may you rest in peace."
Once there lived some roses,
who had all the love and care
morning promised sunshine
and vibrant laden air.
Darkness brought forth rain,
and made the life worth living
the birds would chirp and sing
the bells would toll and ring
roses in a world
worth living.
