Eternal Slumber

A mere silhouette,
Cuffed to an eternal bed,
Skin ignited by foreign tears,
Deafened by the chorus of sobs,
Kissed by the white petals,
And finally tucked away under a sheet,
That will preserve the remaining warmth of the sun,
And secure a peaceful, mortal slumber,
A smile etched forever on his porcelain face.
