Roaming
I’m from a lost journey
The path to the top, which is tired with travelers;
The rocks smooth from the shoes of the Tirons,
The grass worn from familiar thoughts
And the dirt exposed in some places from the occasional trip and fall
I’m from the river that runs with the blood of my heritage
The same for hundreds of years
The only change being age
I am from a place where the harsh lines of reality blur into the wind
Where the grass seems to mix into the sky
Where the sounds seem to soften into the smoke that snakes out of the chimney
I am a lost traveler
The only bother being an ant bite
The magnificence of being hidden from judgment
Unique and interesting;
Awaiting someone to find me
I am from the torn pages out of a book
Jagged cuts in the beginning
Softened with time
I am from lemon zest and orange peels
The best cake comes with scars
The best scars come with dreams
I am a big step and a little girl
Footprints all around locked doors
I’m from wrinkles and fights
The rips found in my tights
I am from cows and chocolate
Those who take up the gauntlet
I accept it all
For I’m only lost until I fall
