Plate of Sunshine
Dark as night,
yet still day.
Every minute it pours, it rains.
When suddenly a light appears.
Bursting through those clouds of tears.
Just enough to see the sun,
Just to let us know God’s won.
A plate of sunshine that’s all we need,
To carry on, to plant a seed.
A seed of hope to say ‘Just Wait.”
To let us know of a better day,
To remind us it’s on the way.
A plate of sunshine that’s all we need,
To carry on, to plant a seed.
