I am a teenager
I am a teenager.
Nightly concoctions of perfumes and lotions, the cheap scent swimming through the house under disliking noses.
I am a teenager.
The phone bill bulges as if was just at Thanksgiving dinner, my fingers glued to the tiny keyboard, taking more of that pumpkin pie, until in desperate need of a diet.
I am a teenager.
Everyday a battle field, no matter if I have no armor to protect me from the wicked rumors, whispers, and endless laughter. Chipping my last bit of courage until I am dust, blown away by the weakest wind.
I am a teenager.
My feelings like a boat lost at sea, in a storm that has no mercy.
Sometimes I just want to stop.
Just want to jump off that bridge, pushing away the world that loves and hates that....
I am a teenager.
Will it ever stop? Will I ever get to sink away into that endless bliss of sweet silence? Should I just blow away, let my armor chip?
No.
I am a teenager.
I was born to overcome, to protect, and to just be me.
I am a teenager.
