When I came to you
And spoke what others
Could not understand.
You helped me when
I came to you and
Cried about what others
Could not see.
But above all these things,
You were the anchor
That kept me refrained
From being carried off
By the malicious, relentless
Tides that haunted me
Every day and every night.

Last year I was in a very bad place with myself, but my family helped pick me up again and set me back on my feet. I now look back at it fondly, and think of it as a learning experience. I am inspired just thinking about it!
