Colors of blue and violet mark your face
for all the hits you've taken
irony says the look upon your battered face
blotches of red and lines appear on your body
your battle scars from all the fights you've lost
But you will wi nthe war!
Because it was neevr about how hurt you got
or how many fihgts you won or lost
it was only about getting everyone home
abotu saving our country
about standing by lady liberty
when she needed us most.
