Man in the Mirror
That man in the mirror isn’t me,
His dark eyes and cold glare is all I see,
Controlling my thoughts controlling my mind,
It seems there is no hope to find,
I once was joyful, I once liked life,
But this man has only brought strife,
For years he has ruled my world,
In my head, his dark banner is unfurled,
His touch is cold, my heart suffers,
My life is hopeless, my soul hungers,
Momentary things cover this pain,
But soon no more scars can be lane,
Without this man I don’t know what I’d do,
Would I survive, or would I subdue,
Is there a world outside this shell?
I feel like I’m living in hell,
The man in the mirror tortures my soul,
The man in the mirror takes all control.
