Love is hard they say
Love is a struggle
Divorce is simple
yet when I picture the future
it is not me with cats and loneliness
or with my fifth husband
my dreams and hopes
lead to a scene with me and a man
a man i have loved half the years I have lived
a man whose eyes sparkle when I look at him
a man who keeps a smile on my face
a man whose white hair has changed with mine
Love is hard they say
Love is a struggle
Love is worth it
