The Rainy Night
Wet Blackness,
Light glowing from towering from bright street lights,
Bellowing winds and icy water,
Falling from the night sky,
Soaking me then pooling on the road in front of me.
My clothes clinging to my body,
I stand illuminated by street lights,
On the yellow lines that cut through the street.
Howling wind cuts through the night like scissors on paper.
Waiting for him I’m alone,
In the darkest corners of the night.
Water cascading over me and soaking everything in sight.
