My Journey From Hell
Stuck in a place of endless misery
I sit alone,
Wondering how a young woman who's acquainted with everyone
can feel so forgotten,
unwanted ,worthless.
Hell is where I've called home,
Twelve years and counting.
When does the hurt of a household that never felt like a home end?
I went away for a while ,
To a place I could lay my head and finally call home.
It came with family members that did not resemble me or my features as an individual,
But a growing love for one another become unconditional.
Two semesters pass,
Somehow i'm always brought back to hell
attempting to believe that everything happens for a reason,
A myth becomes harder and harder to hold on to,
For the devil always has the last say.
Until a path appears within my reach
To take me away from hell.
Show me the way to happiness,
With a path reading
"CONGRATULATIONS",in big bolded letters
My destiny to happiness awaits me
as the devil's chains on me are broken,
With no hesitation or reason to look back
I'm gone.
