Yesterday
I stand in the mirror,
Long for the girl I once was.
Remembering the Chubby cheeks and crooked teeth,
The wavy hair and bushy eyebrows.
The dark but happy eyes .
The happiness and the originality behind me.
Now the girl standing before me,
Has chocolate brown long straight hair that flows down my back.
Her teeth are no longer pointing in every direction.
Her chubby cheeks have subsided and her eyebrows are plucked to perfection.
The only difference is her eyes.
The same dark eyes that used to be filled with happiness,
Are now filled with self doubt.
