These Words, Once Mine
Energy is all around us.
Matter that floats
And collides when we pass it.
Disturbed.
And from these nebulas stars form.
In my own reality
The spark strikes me.
And there—
The ideas, the words.
Beautiful.
They draw me in, curious,
Into their world,
And haunt in the shadows
Of my thoughts and daydreams.
Until, impatient, it's formed.
Ready to be born.
And I surrender
To desire, hunger, need.
Release the tension underneath my skin
Built from hours, weeks, months.
Moments.
And bared in that quiet
Of breathless, secret thoughts,
Hidden in quiet keystrokes
Made loud by Night's white noise.
And born from that invisible spark,
It lives.
How beautiful
These words
Once mine.
