Stains
I can no longer cry,
for I have realized ,
tears are nothing more than water drops
and drops of water cannot cure pain.
So now it's all sinking deeper on the inside,
it sinks so deep and then leaves a heavy stain;
Stains, not scars,
for scars are only from scrapes and cuts,
scrapes and cuts that heal...
Stains sink and cover the surface
and they continue to build up.
They accumulate,
and eventually lead to suffocation of the emotions.
