Salvaging Life
This life is so unfair
People judge and impair
but I will not be intimidated by the fear
I will not shed a single tear
I cannot save what's died inside
I cannot solve what's been denied
I can only make a new road paved
I can't revive what hasn't been saved
I can strive to build a new self who can survive
A thriving new heart that can feel alive
In this world I have suffered
But it's showed me how to put up a buffer
As I sew the pieces back together
I can only try to conceal the nether
Even If I could seal their actions and repel their words
Or if I could abstract their thoughts and hear what's been unheard
All that that could still be salvaged is only one-third
A small piece of what was once whole
over the damage from just one troll
I cannot take back what's been stolen
I can only create a new life woven
I can only work with pieces unbroken
And will never again sit unspoken
