You noticed me
Sometimes I wonder if you notice
All the things I'd do to be by you
Complex as a question
Simple as a hello
Walk twenty steps
Just to see you
I don't know why I felt this way
But you were always in my mind
A burden laid on my heart
Or a crack in time?
I knew you sometimes saw
The silly things I would do
It made me happy
Because someone was noticing me
I tried to get your attention
In more ways than one
Because just a fraction of your voice
Made me feel loved
I don't know why I liked you so much
Maybe because you understood.
You understood my actions
And somehow I knew you would
Seeing you made me smile
Because I knew you were there
Not just a fairy tale
But someone who I could feel
Your hugs made me dance
Like a puppet who wasn't real
Your words spoken with kindness
And a bitter sweet trail
But now your gone
And I see no one
Sitting in your chair
The chair that brightened my day
No hugs
No smiles
Just an empty chair
Only a room away
