Moving On
I lay here with tears,
Streaming down my face,
My heart is solid, cracked, and withered.
I do not know if I can move on,
From what we once had become.
I loved you very dearly,
Like no other in this world,
Hoping one day we'd be in each other's presence.
I do not know if I can move on,
From what we once had become.
I had hoped for us,
That we'd be forever together,
But I am unsure of many things now.
I do not know if I can move on,
From what we once had become.
I miss the face of you,
Seeing you smile everyday,
For it filled me with joy to always see.
I do not know if I can move on,
From what we once had become.
I wonder as days pass,
If you somehow feel the same,
Because I feel so lost without you.
I do not know if I can move on,
From what we once had become.
I think to myself,
That perhaps this is what God wants,
Since everything happens for a reason.
So with God I will try to move on,
But please know that you'll always be in my heart,
Just as we once had promised each other.
