Unnamed
Bouquet of broken flowers
Rests in my hands
Many women dream of this day
But I just cry instead
I don't want to walk down that isle
In a gorgeous dress
Solely because your grinning face
Is waiting at the end
I can feel it now
Your piercing frozen stare
Looking at me as though I were naked
Or as I wish it, dead
I hate you with all my heart
And this you know too well
You want me simply for my body
And "sweet, adoring smile"
I feel as if I deserve better
As I surely do
I wait for a knight in shining armor
But all I have is you
Beautifully dressed I may be
A smile on my face
But if you look beyond that
My eyes are hollow yet
I feel nothing for you
Nothing but hate
Hate for the man
Who took everything for me
Sweet old ladies dab
At their wetted eyes
I would cry if I had the chance
But not for joy at all
The flowers may be lively
With colors of greens and pinks
But they'll be dead soon enough
Will I join them in that state?
Death do us part, you say?
That may be sooner
Than you think
If I can choose my fate
