Where I'm From
I am from books,
From Vanish and Anton Berg Chocolates
I am from the room that I have to myself.
(Small, cozy, it smells like roses)
I am from the geraniums
the orchids
which clutter the windowsill
in every single room.
I’m from travelling
Rome, Venice, Paris,
Munich Lisbon and Madrid,
from Alicja
and Firouz.
I’m from movies and tv shows
And from tumblr,
From my best friends “more like sisters”
Our crazy ideas and hilarious moments
I’m from ASW,
From the country house in France.
From the harmonica my grandfather stole
from the Nazis
the two black baby teeth I acquired in the bike accident.
In the hallway,
opposite the door to my room,
are three shelves
filled with full photo albums.
I am from that hallway,
in which I can discover
my whole life anew.
