Today I learned something.
It's about hope.
Hope for those who have
Nothing left
But pain and fear
And sadness.

With only a few weeks left
There is a chance
To leave this hell
A little early
To be pain free
For the first time in years

But some people
Want to deny my right
To life and
Death

Why prolong my pain?
Why are they making me
Suffer?
Please, doctor...

Thanks to all who read this, your comments made my day! I was assigned to write a research paper in my Language Arts class, and  this was the topic I chose--writing this poem helped with part of the brainstorming process :)
