Blame
The mirrors are cracked
The writing on the wall
The carpets are stained
And the yelling down the hall
The pieces are broken
Yet still somehow whole
The heart take for token
And left out in the cold
The life we once had
Will be no more
Because all that's left
What's it for?
A bottle of wine
A written love note
A broken heart
That never learned to float
A leftover love song
Still to be finished
A long last goodbye
And a heart that is diminished
And who is to blame
For such horrible things
Well, no one else
Yet my heart stings
I blame you
And you blame me
And yet all there is
Is no sympathy
So who is to blame
We will never know
Because instead it's dying
No love left to grow.
