Stolen glances
The reflective surface
Feeds on doubt
She cannot hide
From its criticizing glare
Each peek hurts more than the last
The reflection refutes beauty
It is distorted
Bent to fit
The twisted appearance
Only her eyes see
The image sticks in her mind
Tangling into every thought
With every glance back
Into the glass face of delusion
