Foul Trick
The light was so close I could almost feel its radiance
I touched the walls to reassure myself of the surroundings
It was so pure
So true
It would take a master to make such foul tricks
A master it was
For, when I reached the outskirts it continued to glow
It baffled the eye;
there was no exit in the labyrinth.
He professed it to be the labyrinth of life
I thought I could strive
Fight his cruelty and start afresh
His words were like lullabies
He went farther away
The light no longer as bright
A fray
Between the darkness and the light
It was engulfed
With it the strength to love
To feel
The cold once again played with her tears
The hear t slowed to an inaudible sound
She was bound once again
To the ever changing labyrinth
The labyrinth of life
