Pink Tongue
Bring me the sunset in a cup
I want to taste the ending of a day
Swallowing the inspirations and ideas
The radiating sun provides
Pouring warmth into my cold interior
Feeling fulfilled with the lovely colors
Swishing around in my bare stomach
Tainting my tongue a pink
Bring me the sunset in a cup
Ending the day with triumph
For once in my short existence
Scorching away the faults
Replacing them with self-confidence
The self-assurance the sun has
The sun gleams bright, burning
The skin of all who disobey
The sun awakens at the crack of dawn
Beginning the day off lively
In front of billions
Bring me the sunrise in a cup
I want the ideas that souls have not yet thought of
Tingling my taste buds one by one
Swallowing them down
Leaving me to gawk at
My empty cup
The stinging reminder that
The sun can not transform me
Only I can alter myself
