Hey you,
Wasn’t it supposed to snow today?
In the heat of Florida
During the winter time

Hey you,
Why doesn’t she ever pick us up?
In this Lexis car of yours
Driving to the first place I was able to call home

Hey you,
The house hasn’t changed
I see poppy’s house is still ours
With my pull out couch bed

Hey you,
How’s Freddy?
Sill doing his puzzles
Watching his movies

Hey you,
I see the new chairs outside
And you took away the grass patch
The one I always jump over

Hey you,
The kitchen looks the same
Where I would spend most of my time
Watching the small T.V

Hey you,
I see the dinning room where we rarely ever eat
The living room where we rarely ever sit
Except for that one day of the year

Hey you,
How’s Indy?
Still as vicious as ever
Yet cute and cuddly

Hey you,
Your room is where I always go to look for gifts
Also to hide in your closet
And chase the cat

Hey you,
The den hasn’t changed
The big T.V still there
Where I would watch animal planet with you

Hey you,
Where are you?
Out playing golf I bet
Having fun

Hey you,
I found you
Resting peacefully in your urn behind that wedding picture of you and her
Never forgetting and forever remembering that I will always love you

I wrote this about my grandpa, who lost his battle with cancer.
