The Cost of Change
Subject to change, metamorphosis is difficult
Having been rearranged, I’ve been beaten and ridiculed
A necessary depression, though not quite a depression
The way people see me is due to lack of connection
Seeking affection, like an element seeks electrons
But without direction, it’s hard to focus on the bonds
Apparently I’m wrong, you’ve made it perfectly clear
So why do I yell knowing no one will hear?
My fear is constricting, as it wraps around my neck
Killing me slowly, asphyxiation caused death
Change requires depth, even deeper than mind
And on top of that, it also requires time
