Life in a small town is like,
A failed CIA,
An overly familiar movie,
A song left on repeat.
Life in a small town is,
Too familiar,
In your face,
Rumor winding,
Tension building,
And unforgiving.
You could say,
Life in a small town is like,
Being imprisoned for years at a time,
Watching the same cartoon for hours on end,
Eating the same meal for the rest of your life,
Reading the same book night after night.
