Canvas of Life
Multiple restarts echo shamefully on
The canvas of life that is my brain
For it seemed that words had
Meaning but in all reality they didn't.
By no means was this an attempt to
Avoid the evident but then
Do we let our battles choose us,
Or do those that air on the side of
The sad proudly tromp up in
Obviously frayed souls and fight, and
Do battle because the other option
Is to give up on our frayed souls.
And although those remarkable
Kisses unforgivingly assault and I
Squirm knowing I could ever
accidentally hurt anyone I can't say I
don't miss it somewhat.
