When Tomorrow Comes
As the night lulls me to sleep
There I sit quivering
Amidst the wintry breeze
Thinking
Reminiscing
Digging memories from the past
Then an image flashes vividly
In the corner of my eye
Like falling angels from the heaven
Tears stream on my cheeks
My family-
That had been my home
Was lying lifeless on the ground
Their blood made a river
Slowly flowing towards me
Crying for justice
Reaching for me
I ran to the woods
With my cold palms on my ears
Pretending I couldn't hear
The incessant chuckles of guns
And raging booms from afar
I was hopeless
Helpless
Homeless
Now I am here again
Sitting and quivering with tired eyes
Amidst the wintry breeze
Dreaming
Hoping
That tomorrow I would be
With my family.
