The Human Violin
The Human Violin
I haven’t been felt in so long,
I haven’t been touched in so long.
My notes are caught,
My strings are dusted.
My melody is unheard…
I listen, as headphones blare.
I listen, as screams are bled.
I feel, as blows are thrown—
And I feel, as hearts are torn.
…
Our melody is caught in rewind,
Our body is dented, from the blow.
Our strings are rusted, covered in weeps
Our notes are pouring,
But we feel as unheard as ever.
The silence is here,
Our connection is severed.
