I Thought

I thought I was done with poems about you.
I believed my feelings for you were through.
Yet, here I am writing once again.
It's a mere indulgence that must come to an end.
I'll sit and remember and write on a whim.
As I drink some coffee with the lights all dim.
You're lovely and I miss the words that were spoken.
I miss your touch, but I mustn't be broken.
So that's that I must reminisce no longer.
You're an attainable dream of which I mustn't grow fonder.
