Miracle
Light that’s dim, your face portrays,
As you sat there staring at his lifeless face.
Today was his last day, they gave up on him.
He’ll no longer come back, it wasn’t just a whim.
They said he was dead the moment he slept,
There was nothing to be done and left as you wept.
You took one last look and studied his face.
He looked to peaceful, but dead in the bed he lays.
Out of nowhere, you saw a movement at the corner of your eye.
You laughed humorlessly and said it was all but a lie.
His eyes popped open, it was all a miracle.
You thought it was hopeless, they said it was incurable.
You never believed that there was such a thing,
But now that he’s back, you’ll now believe anything.
