Sunday
Sunday
That day has so many meanings
To me
You were that day
You forgot
You looked at me weird
And I was heartbroken
Sunday I saw you at
Church. You were singing a hymn.
She texted you.
You know me now.
You wanted to get to know me.
What made me tick?
You
We took our time.
We used up our time
Talking to each other
Becoming one another in the
Deepness of Dark
Then you asked me if I was going?
Yes
But you didn't know that
I was going for
You
Sundays are supposed to be
About God
But I made them about you
You filled my world
You never left me alone
And I never felt
Lonely
Now fast forward
It's summer
You ask me again
I say yes
Again for you
She asks
Do you like her?
You didn't know
It was a Sunday
I had you right where I wanted you
But
Distance tears us apart
But I never noticed
Still blinded by my thoughts
You didn't need me
Anymore. But I needed
You.
Sundays are no longer filled with
Thoughts of You
Today I start anew.
